Gayo G1 comes from Takengon and its surrounding areas which are located in the highlands of Aceh near Lake Tawar. This coffee is semi-washed, which means that the parchment is hulled while still having a very high moisture content. This process also uses sun-drying patios, which many people believe gives Aceh coffees their unique, earthy yet pleasant flavor. A lovely, bright clean cup with in which caramel and chocolaty aromatics meet complex flavors of ripe fruit, sweet cinnamon, and a brown sugar aftertaste.
